New School year and holidays...

School has started and I noticed shopping the other day that all the fall decorations are out, that means the holidays are coming! I love this time of year, with cooler weather and all the holiday activities. But with such a busy time, you don't want to forget about your holiday pictures. Call today and set up your session, to get those pictures taken. I like to get all those sessions done by the middle of November to make sure you get them back in time to send out! Remember, it could take up to 2 weeks to get your photo CD.

Also, with the busy holidays, you don't want to forget about the CLASS OF 2009 Senior sessions!! It is better to take them early so they are done before it gets to late. I like to have all the seniors done by March, to make sure that you have plenty of time to send out before Graduation!!

Sessions are usually one hour, at the location of your choice and you will receive a CD of all images. The session fee is $125 and if you want me to design your Holiday card or Senior announcement there is an additional charge.

So make sure to call and set a date for you session!

Cousins

These little loves were both born at the end of April. Although J. was 9lbs and Maddy was 5.5lbs she is slowly catching up! Last sunday my brother came over for lunch with little Maddy(my sister-in-law was at work). I just had to chuckle at him, because he laid her next to J. and told them to play for a while! so here they are at almost 4 months old playing together!!

Coffee table Albums

Our beautiful coffee table books come in a variety of soft leather covers and multiple sizes. You can choose from different colors, with/without photo cut outs, or full cover photos, your names stamped in the covers, etc... These albums are flush-mount style and are completely designed by me and printed and bound by the album company. Each design is unique, and different from the one book to the next.

Here is the process for designing and ordering an album:
-First, you can make a list of your favorite images, or must have photos.
-I will then start designing the album, using most or all of your images. At the same time adding ones that I think will add to the album. Once the design is finished, I will place it online for you to look over.
-While you are looking it over you can make photo changes. (keep in mind, horizontal for horizontal and vertical for vertical!) You can also add pages if you would like at an additional charge. The most common is a 20 page album.
-After I make the changes I will put the design online again.
-As soon as you approve the album and decide on final cover options, I will place the order!
-Depending on how fast the above steps go, your album can take an estimated time of 4-6 months after your wedding to get the finished book.

Here is one of my newest ones in a soft cream leather and a photo cut out in the center. It is a 10x1o with 20 pages it.

The pages lay flat when the album is opened and there is just a small seam in the middle. Therefore, you don't have to worry about the pictures becoming creased and eventually, possibly tearing in the center.

Engagement sessions

Sometimes when you book a session, you start out worrying about what to wear, how your going to look, etc... Here are a few ideas from me to make your session a little less stressful. I always encourage my clients to do an engagement shoot because it gives us the chance to work together before the wedding. Not only will you come away with some amazing photos of the two of you but gives me a chance to get to know you a little and at the same time gain comfort with each other.

Before the engagement shoot we can come up with fun ideas for where we can do your engagement shoot or different ideas of what you enjoy doing together. We don't have to shoot at a park, we can do anywhere that you would like! I've done fun downtown locations, a coffee shop, at homes! Let's go somewhere unique so you can get shots that reflect who you are as a couple! Come to your session expecting to interact and get close to each other! Basically you will interact and focus on one another alot more than on the camera.

I like to tell clients to wear casual clothes to the shoot--something you would feel comfortable sitting on the ground in. And, you can wear whatever you would like, but I do suggest you stay away from busy patterns or anything that would draw the eye away from your faces.

Another, is the lighting, the best lighting is just before sunset. So when you schedule, I usually do shoots an hour and a half before sun down. These same things apply for family, I love to capture the family interacting with each other, and overall just having a good time with each other. To get your true emotions!

L and C wedding

I have been so busy the last couple months with having baby #4 and am finally getting around to posting these! It sure is alot of fun to have a new baby with us, and at the same time a big adjustment to have 4 little ones to run after!

I also want to add that now it is back to school time! and with that, the Class of 2009! Start thinking about getting those senior portraits taken as soon as the weather cools off a little!! It is best to get those done and out of the way, so your not rushing at the end of the school year trying to get them taken and sent out in time for Graduation! Give me a call or send me an email to set up your session date. I look forward to hearing from you.

Here is a wedding I did back in June, they were just bursting with happiness the whole day! There smiles were just beaming! They came all the way from Finland 2 weeks before the wedding and she pretty much planned the whole event in that short time! It was a beautiful wedding!

Her bridal party was just the three flower girls and they were just adorable!

We then went to the Rancho Manana Golf course to take the pictures...

They drove away in her uncles old car...
