Just something fun for me :)

I just thought I would share these screen captures of where my blog is being viewed! Sorry, these types of things make me just a little excited! My little old blog is being viewed all over the place. I would love to come and visit you in your state too, for a session or wedding someday! I would love to travel and one of my goals for my life is to visit most (if not all) of the states at some point or other. So far I have probably only been to (or been through!) about 14 of them. I got a long way to go, and I would love to start going to a different city once (or twice) a year to do sessions. So all of you not in sunny Arizona keep that in mind and if you would be interested in having me come to you, send me a message!

So, while you are here, say hello and let me know which green state you are in :)
And not only is my blog getting browsed in almost all of the states, it has been looked at in all of these other countries! FUN!
And awhile back I did this survey, which a good amount of you took a few minutes to fill out! Posting more personal posts was a big one that you guys wanted, so I am trying to add those in more frequently. Along with more photography tips, so I started a FAQs section. Which I will keep on adding to, so if you have a specific question, send me a message! And again, I was very excited when there was quite a few of you that are photographers as well! And a few of you that are just starting out. It was fun reading and finding out who some of you are and hearing your kind words!

Just a fun Wednesday post I thought I would share. Now back to editing so I can get done with these piled up sessions, so I can do another round of sessions this weekend! November is almost completely booked up, only a couple more spots that I can squeeze in some last minute sessions.

Time flies when your having fun!

Wow! I haven't had the chance to sit down and blog for a while! we ended up all getting a bad cold, the newborn ended up in the hospital with RSV, hubby and a couple kids ended up with some sort of flu bug and I had a fever/chills for a day because of an infection. So it feels like we were sick over here for too long. At least we were sick the couple weeks before Spring break tho. We all felt better and were ready to enjoy the week to the fullest. We also got lucky that hubby and Em had it the same week, so we were able to have some fun family time. And boy has it felt good just to relax and enjoy the great weather too!

We spent an afternoon at the Scottsdale civic center, running and chasing each other, watching the ducks, even wading in the fountain to cool off! Lots of time out front climbing the tree, riding bikes and playing. I even remembered to get a one month old picture with mickey(a personal photo project that I am going to get each month)! Em has been busy all week making a neighborhood project for school, I am going to have to get a picture of it, and of course she chose to build a school! She was supposed to take a drive with us around the neighborhood and choose something to make a model of, so that's what she chose! The kids ...and me :( have been doing a little slacking on the cleaning this week because of all the time outdoors and taking scenic drives! So I am going to pay for it tomorrow(yes, not today!) making up for missing a couple days!

One of our drives was up to Wickenburg, there we did a little touring, ate some lunch and came back to town to walmart to buy Em a bigger bike. Here are a few pictures of the beautiful green Arizona Desert! I just can't believe how green it is. I was hoping to see more wildflowers but they were pretty sparse.

Wednesday was for appointments, all the kids were due for well checks/shots and I was expecting shots for a few of them. Only one kid needed them and the apt. went smooth! Then we had eye appointments and new glasses to pick out. Why is it always so hard to pick out glasses!? there is so many choices, and I am always going back and forth on a couple pairs.

anyways I feel like I am rambling! Now I get to go and enjoy the weekend before the school schedule starts again! As for plans for the weekend, we are hoping to spend another afternoon in the park for sure and we will see what else comes up! I also get to do a session with some cute little nephews of mine tonight, so watch for those pictures soon!

Also, I have some details coming soon about Spring Sessions, so stay tuned for those and be sure to take advantage of them and get some new pictures for Easter, Mothers day or just because!

If you book your wedding day photography with Kendra by then, you will get a FREE ENGAGEMENT SESSION added onto your package! Call and set up for a free consultation so we can get together and discuss your wedding day, get to know each other and get your retainer in to lock your date!

I am just posting a quick reminder post(only 9 days left in January!!), so no picture right now. But I do have a few engagement sessions this weekend, so stay tuned for those pictures! I am excited for all 3 sessions and am hoping it stays somewhat dry for the rest of the weekend after our CRAZY weather we had last night! Although I LOVE it when it rains here, I think I have had enough of it being wet and cold. That means the kids have been couped up inside for most of the week!! They need to get outside and burn some energy;)

(since it is so hard to post without a picture, here is "E" enjoying her days of summer!)

BUT I just wanted to let you know that I will be offering mini sessions during the month of October. I have a few dates picked out, and I will put the full details up next week. The sessions will be about 30 minutes and include a set of Greeting cards. Again stay tuned for next week, when I will put up the full details with the dates/locations/pricing.

Anyways, doing the sessions in October will give us the time needed to get your images up for you to pick which ones to use on your cards. Also, that gives us plenty of time to get the cards designed and printed in time for December.

Home again, home again...

We are back in our own home finally!!

Our family drove up to Minnesota in the beginning of May. We just got home about a week or so ago! It was a very fun summer, full of visiting with family and spending time touring my husbands home town. The kids just loved playing outside in the green grass and tons of room to run! The weather was absolutely gorgeous! I think our hottest day was on one of our trips to Duluth, when it was 93 degrees. But other than that it was a colder than normal summer according to every one out there! We spent the first week in Big Lake, then headed North to Virginia. And the first morning we woke up, up there, there was SNOW flurries falling!! That was about May 12th! It was so nice to pull out the sweaters and spend a good portion of summer bundled up! But, back to the summers were used to here in Phoenix, HOT!!

Anyways, we had lots of fun! I will be sharing pictures from various parts of our summer living in Minnesota over the next few weeks. As I look through them all I will post!

Here are a few pictures for now...

There is lots and lots of these trees around, full of these pretty little flowers.

Although its nice being back home in our own home, looking through these pictures is sure making me miss the cool weather, pretty trees and GREEN grass!

So, Kendra Jean Photography would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!

I got this award in my email this morning and I was very excited to have been chosen as one of the top choices! Thank you Wedding Wire and Thank you to my clients!

::Reminder:: I will be choosing the WINNER tonight. So you can still be entered for the free session by commenting on any of my posts!::

Christmas is almost here...

I am still trying to believe that Christmas is already next week! Got most of my shopping done.

The last couple days here have been cold and rainy and I am just LOVING it!! especially here in Arizona, it is a treat! I love being able to bundle up in the winter, like your supposed to be able to, and go out shopping, or visiting! We had part of the day yesterday was sunny and I had to take a picture of the sky. It just looked so clean and blue, love that the rain makes everything seem fresher! Today is sunny again and I hope that more rain is coming.

Anyways, I just mailed out my holiday cards today, I am a little behind this year! And, if you don't get yours in the next couple days, send me your new address!

I am VERY excited about 2009!! There will be some awesome new products that I will be offering to my clients! I also am going to be tweaking my packages around a little bit to add some of the products. I am also going to be doing a fun contest, that I will post about within the next couple weeks, so be sure to keep looking out for that! Should be a fun way for all of you to get involved.
